The Christian Ministries Department at MVNU can help you prepare for creative and effective service for Christ, whether your passion is for ministry to children or youth, or for educational ministries in general.
Our programs equip students for local church assignments or for positions in para-church and Christian organizations, in evangelism, discipleship, teaching, and training for a specific age level or in leadership of comprehensive ministries for all ages.
You won't have to wait to begin your study of ministry principles and practice. As a Christian ministry student, you’ll be enrolled your first semester in the Christian Life and Ministry course, guiding you toward a richer understanding of fundamentals of the faith, spiritual formation, calling, and Christian community.
The next three semesters of Christian Ministries Seminar will help you address ministry issues and help build a cohort relationship with fellow students in your major, while introducing you to our experienced and caring faculty in the department.
As you progress, you’ll join other Christian ministry majors in foundational classes in teaching and human development; studies of church leadership; and courses in broad practical areas, such as missions, recreation, and family ministries.
You’ll also be able to specialize in an age level, with classes in evangelism; programming; and pastoral care for children, youth, or adults.
