Q. How long will it take to earn my degree?
A. Most programs can be completed in 2 years of less. Each program has a specific curriculum format designed for working adults. Curriculum details are described on each program's web page. An enrollment counselor at one of the MVNU sites would be pleased to meet with you or speak by phone to explain the program schedule.

A. Transfer credits are evaluated during the application process so you will know which credits are transferable and the additional courses necessary to complete your degree.
Q. Will my professional license training count toward credits for my degree?
A. This would be reviewed as prior learning credit (PLC) and evaluated during the application process to determine if credit would be awarded.
Q. Do I qualify for financial aid?
A. Eligibility for financial aid is dependent on many factors. Our financial aid department will provide assistance and explain your options as a part-time or full-time student.
Q. What is FAFSA?
A. FAFSA on the Web is the U.S. Department of Educations official electronic application for federal student aid. Visit www.fafsa.ed.gov to find out steps to apply. The AGS financial aid office can provide additional information.
Q. Is your school accredited?
A. Accreditation is a status granted to an educational institution or a program that has been found to meet or exceed stated criteria of educational quality. Accreditation has two fundamental purposes: to assure the quality of the institution or program, and to assist in the improvement of the institution or program. MVNU is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, member of the North Central Association (www.ncacasi.org) and the Ohio Board of Regents (www.regents.ohio.gov).
Q. Do you accept scholarships and/or employer tuition reimbursement?
A. Yes, many MVNU adult and graduate studies students are eligible for federal and state grant and loan opportunities. Additionally, many employers provide some level of tuition reimbursement. Details can be obtained from financial aid.
Q. What's included in the tuition cost?
A. Our 2008-2009 cost schedules have the fees included in the total for each program. Most, but not all programs, have also included the cost of books. See cost schedules by clicking on the program of interest or the forms page.
Q. Do all AGS students receive a notebook computer?
A. The undergraduate business programs and graduate education programs provide a notebook computer to use throughout the program and to keep upon program completion.
Q. Must I be associated with a Nazarene church to attend?
A. No. MVNU is a distinctly Christian university with students from many denominational backgrounds and others without a church affiliation.
Q. What is meant by a cohort model of learning?
A. Most AGS students are enrolled with the same group of students (cohort) throughout the program, taking the same course work. This provides the opportunity for networking, building support systems, and establishing long-term friendships.
Q. I have a full-time job. Can I really fit this into my schedule?
A. AGS programs are built around the adult learner. Most classes are held just once a week. Students are able to maintain their other obligations while pursuing the dream of a college degree.
Q. Does MVNU have online courses or programs?
A. Three degree programs are offered in a blended online format, these are:
- Bachelor of Business Administration - Organizational Leadership
- Bachelor of Business Administration - Management
- Master of Science in Management
In the blended online programs, students meet for 3 Saturdays at the beginning and end of the program and the remaining courses are all online. Additionally, MVNU has several online business elective as part of the BBA program and more online electives are in development.
