
Master of Ministry - Church-based
MVNU introduces an innovative approach to earning your Master of Ministry. This program, designed for young graduates and those with flexible schedules, combines the academic experience with a practical church-based experience, pairing students with one of five large churches in Ohio. Students will be mentored by a strong pastoral leader and church staff while they learn how the church functions by participating in the process.

- Degree completed in 3 semesters (11 months)
- Earn 30 credits (transferable for 1/3 of the Master of Divinity program if desired)
- Students are immersed in an Ohio teaching church 15-20 hours per week:
- Lima Community Church of the Nazarene
- Beavercreek Church of the Nazarene
- Grove City Church of the Nazarene
- Wooster Church of the Nazarene
- Springdale Church of the Nazarene
- Classes meet 6 hours on Mondays
- Cohort-based - all students take the same courses
- Courses taught by faculty and other professional experts via video conferencing at MVNU locations
- Some courses utilizing supplemental online technology
- Some practics courses enhanced by church staff
- Students visit MVNU main campus twice a semester
