Biannually, the Art Department leads a study abroad experience in Italy during the January term. Two classes, Art in the Western World and Art and Architecture in Historical Italy, as well as independent studies, are available for credit during the travel course.
Visits to Rome, Florence, Venice, Pompeii, Milan, Assisi, and various smaller towns provide both the artistic and the spiritual backdrop for intensive study of Greco Roman art and the Christian influence upon the arts historically.
