Dr. Daniel J. Martin has served in Christian higher education since 1994. While a majority of his background rests in administration, specifically in fund raising and external relations, his education and experience have provided broad exposure to university operations as a whole.
Stemming from his desire to engage in one-on-one relationships, Martin's efforts have proven to be a major resource in advancing and developing the institutions in which he has served. He has designed, managed, and led multiple comprehensive development programs that have procured over $54 million in unrestricted, scholarship, capital, endowment, and planned gifts. Additionally, Martin has effectively managed multiple administrative departments; designed, managed, and led strategic planning processes; renewed marketing efforts; developed comprehensive enrollment and marketing plans; and enhanced management decisions and strategic planning through effective use of institutional and external data and trends.
With a passion to see Christian higher education transform lives and a personal interest in who students become, Martin is committed to leading Mount Vernon Nazarene University as a place of conversation so that transformation can occur—in the lives of students…and in the world.
