Bachelor of Science (Nursing Major)

The need for professional nurses is great, and will continue to grow. This program through the School of Nursing and Health Sciences at MVNU will provide the knowledge and skill level to position nurses for career advancement in the rapidly changing health care field. It requires an individual who is committed to the highest standards of scientific excellence in a variety of areas, including bioethics, biology, and biochemistry.

The MVNU Bachelor of Science (Nursing Major) offers a convenient schedule for working nurses to complete the degree in as little as 18 months. Curriculum is designed for nurses to take one course at a time, one night a week, with each class meeting for 4 hours.

RNs with degrees from accredited associate or diploma granting programs are eligible to apply. You learn in a supportive environment with other registered nurses, from highly qualified faculty, gaining experience that can be applied immediately in your nursing career.

The baccalaureate degree provides:

  • Expanded practice opportunities for nurses in an increasingly complex health care industry
  • Strong scientific and liberal arts foundations
  • Evidence-based nursing science core

In addition to a strong scientific foundation, MVNU nurses are being prepared within a Christian framework to meet the challenges of today's rapid changing health care environment.
