MVNU offers the Bachelor of Social Work through Graduate Professional Studies at the Mount Vernon campus for adults who want to attend class just one night a week, one class at a time to complete their degree.
The program is geared toward adults primarily in the field of social sciences. This allows them to increase their job opportunities in the field of social work while maintaining their current responsibilities.
Completing a social work degree allows graduates to take the state social work licensing examination. A license is a prerequisite to obtaining many social work positions. MVNU's social work program is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
