Jazz flutist to perform at MVNU

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio Galen Abdur-Razzaq, a master jazz flutist will perform for Mount Vernon Nazarene University's Lecture/Artist Series on Thursday, Oct. 1, in the Prince Student Union at 5:30 p.m.
The event is part of Festival Latino, a free, public event with food and music from 4:30-8:30 p.m.
Abdur-Razzaq, known as Galen, is an arranger, composer, director, educator and writer from Montclair, N.J. He graduated from Rutgers University and holds a Master of Fine Arts and Education. He has performed for over 30 years around the world. He has recorded with many world-famous artists and delivers intellectually stimulating lectures and powerful jazz performances.
