Kathy (Bailey) StevensInducted during the 1999-2000 school yearKathy (Bailey) Stevens was one of the few MVNC athletes who competed in four different sports during her collegiate career that lasted from 1975 to 1979. In basketball, Stevens was a member of the inaugural Lady Cougars' team that posted a 14-2 record during her junior year. That season, she averaged 9.9 points and 12.4 rebounds per game. She also set the school's single-game rebounding record when she grabbed 25 caroms in a win over Olivet Nazarene (IL). As a senior, she averaged 9.8 points and 12.4 rebounds per game. Stevens also set four school records in track during her junior year in the 100 meter low hurdles, the 400 meter low hurdles, the high jump, and the discus. In addition, Stevens competed on the first MVNC intercollegiate volleyball and tennis teams. She helped to lay the foundation as those programs got off the ground.
