Larry Pusey

Inducted during the 1999-2000 school year

Larry Pusey attended MVNC from 1970 until 1972 when it was a two-year school. He was one of the school's first standouts as he starred in cross country and track.

In cross country, Pusey twice ran at the National Junior College Athletic Association national meet. In 1970, he finished 25th as he led the team to finish 23rd out of 49 schools at Vincennes, Indiana. It also marked the school's first-ever winning season in any sport. In 1971, he finished 18th out of 257 at the national race in Danville, Illinois.

As a member of the track team, Pusey also made his presence felt on a national basis. As a freshman, he went unbeaten in his first 29 competitive races. He also finished eighth in the two-mile race at the NJCAA national meet with a time of 9:15 as he was named an NJCAA All-American.
