It’s a HOLIDAY week and we are celebrating with you! We’ll get you ready for Turkey Day with some great recipe ideas and some ideas on getting the family together. Throughout the week, we’ll have some special guests with us to talk about the annual Food For The Hungry Drive. The holidays are here and The Morning Thing Crew is so thankful for YOU!

Monday – We’ll focus on the annual Psi Iota Xi auction of holiday treasures to benefit Food for the Hungry. Plus we’ll tell you about the Psi Iota Xi Elementary School food drive. The kids are working SO Hard to collect food and money to help families in need.

Tuesday – We’ll focus on the Fredericktown Christmas Walk and tell you about our special Christmas Karaoke! WOW – you could win a special Christmas stocking stuffed full of goodies, just for singing your favorite Christmas songs. Scott Boyer from MVNU’s Adult and Graduate Studies program will be here at 7:45am to “Make Life Easier” with 5 great song choices for Christmas Karaoke – and maybe we’ll even convince him to sing for us! At 8am it’s “Double Dose Tuesday” – back to back songs from your favorite artists in Christian music.

Wednesday – We’ll focus on Fredericktown’s Food for the Hungry Auction and talk about serving others. What better way to celebrate Thanksgiving than by reaching out to others? At 8am, It’s Wayback Wednesday with music from the 80’s and 90’s.

Thursday – Happy Thanksgiving from The Morning Thing! We’ll share holiday messages from our staff all day long. PLUS give out some special prizes to those early morning turkey cooks!

Friday – PTLIF – Praise the Lord, It’s Friday!

We’ll tell you about two events connected to Food For The Hungry – the Danville Village Christmas Celebration and the new Poinsettia sale for the Fredericktown Christmas Walk.

Plus something special for the biggest shopping day of the year - 24 hours of Christmas music! Hear the old classics that will take you back in time, plus hear new Christmas music from your favorite Christian artists. The Morning Thing will be OUT in Mount Vernon looking for early morning Christmas shoppers. If you find us between 6 and 9am, you’ll get to pick a prize from our BIG Christmas Gift Bag. We’ll brave the crowds with you and give you some music to put you into the Christmas spirit.
