WHAT IS YOUTH LEADER SUMMIT?

This year’s theme is: “More Tools For Your Toolbox”. This Summit is focused on the right tools for the right job. Relational Tools. Organizational Tools. Volunteer Tools. Networking Tools. You need tools that are practical, helpful and beneficial, and our speakers can provide them. This is a day to decompress, reconnect, and remember why you love youth ministry.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Anyone working or volunteering in youth ministry in any denomination.

WHO ARE THE SPEAKERS?

Drew Aaron serves as the Executive Pastor at Hilliard Church of the Nazarene. He holds degrees in Christian Education and Theater from Anderson University. He has been in youth ministry for over 28 years, and currently serves as the District NYI President for the South Central Ohio District Church of the Nazarene.

Nate Porter is a co-lead pastor at Newstart Church in Delaware, Ohio. He has been serving NYI in the church of the Nazarene for over a decade and has served in various roles in local, district, and field NYI. He currently serves the East Central Field as the vice-chair of events. Due to his church’s unique co and equipping pastor models, Nate thrives on building and investing in teams, spiritual leadership development, and equipping the church to do ministry work.

Phil Starr was first asked to lead his youth group on Wednesday nights when he was 13 years old. Over 30 years later, Phil continues to advocate for youth ministry in the local church. Phil believes that church programs are excuses for relationships. For the past eight years, he has served as the Executive Vice Chair of Youth Training for the East Central Field for the Church of the Nazarene. Phil currently lives in Mt Sterling, Ohio. Phil is most proud of his family, who he prays will continue to grow in love with Jesus and the church.

SUMMIT DETAILS AND COSTS

You have two registration options:

•Youth Leaders Summit with Overnight — $90 per person, includes Summit and meals at the lodge

•Youth Leaders Summit (Thursday Only) — $45 per person, includes materials and lunch.

Registration is open until April 24, 2023. Walk-ins will be welcome at the event; however, materials may not be available for same day registrants.

8:30 a.m. — Registration & Check In

9 a.m. — Session 1

10:20 a.m. — Break

10:40 a.m. — Session 2

11:45 a.m. — Lunch on Location

12:45 p.m. — MVNU Greetings

1 p.m. — Session 3

2:15 p.m. — Break

2:30 p.m. — Session 4

4:30 p.m. — Check in at Lodge for the Overnight Option (Dinner & Breakfast Included)
