Ministry Leadership is one of nine unique MBA concentrations offered by MVNU.

MVNU’s commitment to enlightening education is securely upheld by our Master of Business Administration program. The Ministry Leadership concentration provides MBA students with the skills to take on leadership roles within church and parachurch organizations. MBA faculty encourage and equip students to achieve personal and spiritual growth while gaining a practical, biblical, and theological understanding of ministry.

* Most students complete our programs within 19 months. However, we offer a Fast-Track MBA option that allows highly motivated students to earn their degrees in just 11 to 15 months. By taking two courses at once, you can earn your MBA quicker and dive into meaningful careers sooner.

Change Management

A study of the role of the manager in the context of a changing environment. Special emphasis is given to current theories and strategies for leading an organization through transition. Students gain an understanding of management issues involved in implementing a major initiative, supervising staff and maintaining productivity despite resistance or personnel shifts, and sustaining commitment to new practices over time.

PGRW 6003

The Pastor as a Person

This course provides students with an inquiry into self-understanding, personal spiritual growth, and goal development for the practice of ministry. The course will examine Christian spiritual formation, both academically and experientially. This course will focus on the tools and disciplines that lead one to Christ-likeness as the goal of spiritual formation.

MINS 6033

The Church in the 21st Century

A study of biblical, historical, and contemporary understandings of the Church to develop insights and competencies in the practice of ministry.

Curriculum stats/highlights

MBA students selecting to concentrate in Accounting must complete nine (9) required MBA core courses in addition to the three (3) concentration-specific courses. The MBA in Accounting requires a total of 36 credits.

*The remaining 9 credit hours are taken in the student’s chosen concentration. All MBA courses are 100% online.
