Senior Recital — Jacob Lafevor, trombone

The Music Department is pleased to present Jacob Lafevor in his senior trombone recital. He will perform works by Camille Saint-Saëns, Carl Maria von Weber, Ernst Sachse, and Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov.  A reception will follow the performance.

Jacob is a senior Music Education major from Midland, Michigan.  He studies trombone and guitar and participates in several MVNU ensembles.

He started playing trombone in the 5th grade in San Diego, California. He has played in school bands ever since. In his sophomore year of high school, he started to learn other instruments in the brass family and also started to learn guitar.

Jacob married his wife, Riley, before coming to MVNU. They have a 9-month-old daughter, Lucy.
