MVNU is a preferred teach-out university for ENC students. As a sister institution, we deeply care about you and want to help you complete your degree. Whether you are interested in attending classes on campus in Mount Vernon, Ohio, or finishing your degree online, we are here to help you every step of the way!

Yes! MVNU will honor all coursework completed at ENC. Your ENC credits will transfer to MVNU as major requirements, general education requirements, or elective. We will need your ENC unofficial transcript to get this process started (go to your ENC student portal - it is under the Student Planning section). We will be working with ENC in the coming days to get your official records. Our enrollment counselors will give you more information on this step. Fill out the 1-minute application to ensure a counselor will be in touch within 24 hours of submission. 

No. Our teach-out agreement with ENC ensures a smooth transfer that does not delay the completion of your undergraduate degree.

For residential (planning to attend classes and live on campus in Mount Vernon, Ohio): With the full tuition scholarship available to ENC students, you will only be responsible to cover the cost of room, board, and other fees. Our financial aid team will work with you to provide an award letter.

For students interested in MVNU online coursework, the cost will vary depending on the number of classes you need to complete your degree. Our cost per credit hour is lower than ENC’s price structure, and MVNU will award a one-time $500 scholarship when you transfer.

You decide when you want to visit by scheduling a personal visit — in person or virtually! Tour campus, talk with an admissions counselor, and set up sessions with Student Financial Aid, the Registrar’s office, coaches, and faculty. Click here to reserve your day.

Once you complete our 1-minute application, we will review your financial aid letter from ENC, add our full tuition scholarship for residential students and provide a new letter.

If you already paid a deposit to ENC we will waive and honor your deposit for MVNU.

If you applied and/or was accepted to ENC for Fall 2024, you will be accepted at MVNU and qualify for the full tuition scholarship as a residential student. Follow our three easy steps to get started today!

If you have earned college credit after high school graduation at 100 level or higher, then you are considered a transfer student at MVNU. Students who have earned college credit concurrently during high school from programs such as dual enrollment are considered first-time freshmen upon entry to MVNU.

Move-in day for new students is Thursday, Aug. 29. Classes begin on Monday, Sept. 2.

We can guarantee campus housing for all ENC students, and you are welcome to keep the same roommate(s) that you currently have. Don’t forget, ENC students must live on campus to qualify for the full tuition scholarship.

MVNU is a member of the Crossroads League in the NAIA, with 24 varsity and several reserve teams. Our athletic department is committed to working with ENC athletes who want to continue their involvement with a sport program. No. Our Medical Insurance Policy states:

MVNU has determined that providing student health insurance does not offer clear or significant value to either the student or the university. Students are encouraged to obtain their own health insurance. International students are required to obtain medical insurance upon arrival to the US or have proof of coverage from a family insurance carrier. This is reported to Human Resources and Student Health Services.

Start dates vary by program. Our enrollment counselors and academic advisors will work to create a schedule to meet your needs.

Considering the unfortunate circumstances with the announced closure of ENC, this is a fair question. MVNU is a financially stable university with growing on-campus and online enrollment. New programs including International Executive Studies, Master of Social Work, IGNITE, and Doctor of Nursing Practice are just some of our latest initiatives designed to further our mission and increase enrollment.
