Schnormeier Gallery to host Myths & Perception
Mount Vernon Nazarene University is pleased to announce the upcoming exhibits, Myths & Perception — Sam Cook Senior Exhibit — in conjunction with the MVNU Art & Design Exhibit. These exhibitions will be held at Schnormeier Gallery from March 24 to April 4.

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio — Mount Vernon Nazarene University is pleased to announce the upcoming exhibits, Myths & Perception — Sam Cook Senior Exhibit — in conjunction with the MVNU Art & Design Exhibit. These exhibitions will be held at Schnormeier Gallery from March 24 to April 4.
Visitors are invited to join a special gallery talk with Sam Cook on Thursday, March 27, at 5 p.m., followed by an opening reception for both exhibits until 7 p.m.
Myths & Perception is a collection of installations exploring Greek and Roman myths and how they change over time. Throughout the exhibition Classical myths are retold with the use paper-mache, natural objects, and drawing to depict ancient stories in intentionally temporary mediums.
The MVNU Art & Design Exhibit is a juried selection of student work from the Art and Design program at Mount Vernon Nazarene University. The show features work in a range of mediums. This exhibition is held semi-annually and showcases the progression of students through the program.

Located at 221 S. Main St., Mount Vernon, on the first floor of MVNU’s Buchwald Center, Schnormeier Gallery is dedicated to showcasing diverse artistic expressions. The gallery is open Monday through Friday from 1-5 p.m. Admission is free, and all are welcome to experience the transformative power of art in this vibrant community space.
