MBA
IN HEALTH CARE ADMINISTRATION
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the health care industry is the fastest-growing sector of the U.S. economy and is expected to add the most jobs of any industry in the next ten years. Health care offers unique opportunities for service and compassionate care. The MBA-HCA is designed for practicing clinicians and health care professionals who are leaders or aspiring leaders within health care organizations. The program prepares you for leadership and management roles in hospitals, clinics, extended care facilities, assisted living facilities, and group practices.
The 12 course, 36 credit hour MBA-HCA is a blend of general business courses (6) covering the functional areas of business — economics, organizational behavior, marketing, global business, accounting and finance — as well as Health Care Administration courses (6) focused on issues specifically relevant to the health care industry — health care management, legal aspects of health care organizations, health services administration, quality management in health care, and leadership of health care organizations.
