Homecoming 2025 is right around the corner, and we can’t wait to welcome our alumni, families, and friends back to our beautiful campus!
With a full lineup of both cherished traditions and exciting new events, this weekend is your chance to remember the moments, reconnect with the people, and recommit to the place that helped shape who you are today.
Every event throughout the weekend is designed to celebrate our MVNU community and the bonds that continue to grow stronger with time. We hope you’ll join us for as many activities as you can — we can’t wait to see you soon!
Friday, Nov. 14, 2025
DEPARTMENTAL ALUMNI PRESENTATION
8 a.m.-4 p.m. | Classrooms
Alumni guest lecturers and presenters will be available in classrooms throughout campus as arranged by faculty members.
PRESIDENT'S PRAYER BREAKFAST
8-9 a.m. | Ariel Arena, Foster Hall
President Carson Castleman invites faculty, staff, alumni, parents, and community guests to share a light breakfast and join together in prayer for the University.
ALUMNI KIDS VISIT
8 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
Children and grandchildren (grades 6-12) of MVNU Alumni are welcome to spend a day on campus with our Admissions team, going to Chapel, eating lunch in the Caf and taking a campus tour among other things.
HOMECOMING CHAPEL
10:20-11:15 a.m. | R.R. Hodges Chapel
Students and alumni are invited to hear the stories of alumni who are working and serving around the world. Their experiences and perspectives are curated to provide insight to the curricular theme of the chapel semester. Several alumni awards will be presented during this time.
ARCHIVES OPEN HOUSE

Located on the lowest level of the Thorne Library, step back in time to explore MVNU's rich history! These special hours are available only during Homecoming weekend!
THE BOESGER CHRISTIAN BUSINESS LEADER SERIES
3:30 p.m. | Jetter Hall 133
Christian business leaders who have successfully led organizations with ethics and excellence share with MVNU students and alumni. The 2025 guest speaker is Joe Schmidt of Peak Retirement Planning.

SCHNORMEIER GALLERY EXHIBIT
5 p.m. | Gallery Talk | Buchwald Center, Schnormeier Gallery (downtown)

Join us for the evening to view the artwork of MVNU faculty artist John Donnelly. Donnelly’s exhibit will include nearly five decades of work. Donnelly, who will retire this fall after 36 years, uses a variety of media to convey a sense of exploration through drawing, painting, printmaking and sculpture.
ALUMNI CELEBRATION
6-9 p.m. | Ariel Arena, Foster Hall
Hang out together with former classmates, friends, faculty, and staff. Enjoy an unforgettable time with friends, finger food and admission is free with your ticket to the MVNU basketball games.
KING AND QUEEN CORONATION
6:50 p.m. | Ariel Arena
Elected class representatives are announced as the Homecoming Court features student leadership and service profiles followed by the announcement of the student-elected king and queen.

MVNU's Collegians Chorale will perform the National Anthem.

REND COLLECTIVE FOLK! CONCERT
7:30 p.m. | R.R. Hodges Chapel
Rend Collective is a Northern Irish Christian folk rock worship band originating from Bangor, Northern Ireland. Through their songs, stories and worship, they lead people closer to Christ! Early entry and Deluxe tickets available.

Registration: 8-8:45 a.m. at the R.R. Hodges Chapel
$20 due on race day
Race benefits MVNU Cross Country team.
DONUTS & COFFEE WITH SPUR STUDENTS & FACULTY
9-10 a.m. | Prince Student Union
All alumni are welcome to join us for donuts and coffee. Drop-in and mingle with current students and faculty from science, engineering, social work, and education programs to learn about their participation in the Summer Program for Undergraduate Research (SPUR) at MVNU.

3-ON-3 BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT
10 a.m. | Prince Student Union
This tournament is for alumni, students, faculty and staff! Prizes for the winning teams in each division! Single or double elimination depending on the number of teams. 1970’S CLASS MEETING & REUNION
10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. | Hyson Campus Center, President's Dining Room
The Pioneer Class of 1970 will host their annual meeting while having lunch in the President's Dining Room located in the Dining Commons. Class updates will be included along with time with our guest, Ed Cable, Director of Planned Giving.
WNZR AFFINITY REUNION
10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. | Founders Hall 221/WNZR Studio
Drop in for snacks, giveaways, and great company! We will have a special Reunion Bulletin Board where WNZR alumni can sign and share a favorite memory. Plus, we'll be going LIVE with WNZR alumni sharing memories and stories.
BASEBALL ALUMNI LUNCHEON (Invitation only)

Former and present Cougar baseball players and their families are invited to gather for lunch, interact, and view the new baseball clubhouse.
MUSIC DEPARTMENT CONCERT

MVNU choral and instrumental ensembles will present an exciting concert featuring a diverse range of musical selections. Collegians Chorale will be highlighted as they perform alongside special guest alumni, promising a performance that blends tradition with the talents of MVNU's past and present musical students.
BASEBALL CLUBHOUSE DEDICATION

All are invited to attend a dedication ceremony to unveil the newly renovated Tim Belcher Clubhouse and tour the facility following the ceremony.

SO YOU WANNA BE A SONGWRITER: HELPFUL HINTS TO KICKSTARTING YOUR SONGWRITING JOURNEY

Learn helpful songwriting hints from MVNU alum, Brian White '79. His successful songwriting career includes over 500 Christian and Country music songs, including 17 number one hits. He won 2 Dove awards and earned many other accolades.
PIONEER SPIRIT GATHERING

Alumni and guests from the classes of 1970-1975, please join us for an informal gathering in the Dining Commons. Drinks and cookies will be provided along with time to enjoy each other's company.
