The Pre-Medical (BS) program at MVNU provides a structured and supportive pathway designed to prepare students for medical school through academic, spiritual, and professional development. Students can expect clear guidance on medical school admissions expectations, regular feedback through a semester-by-semester progress model, and ongoing assessment across 15 key competencies, including communication, critical thinking, scientific inquiry, teamwork, and resilience. What Can You Do With A Biology Pre-Medical Degree?
This program is designed to prepare students for competitive application to medical school through a combination of required and recommended coursework, helping build a strong academic foundation. In addition to coursework, students receive guidance in developing a well-rounded application profile that includes extracurricular involvement, volunteer service, clinical exposure, and undergraduate research. Seminars further support students with professionalism training, application development, interview preparation, and essential competency building.
MVNU alumni have been accepted into medical programs at institutions such as Northeast Ohio Medical University, The Ohio State University College of Medicine, University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine, Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, University of Pittsburgh College of Medicine, and others.
Graduates have also gone on to serve as medical missionaries both nationally and internationally, including in eSwatini, France, North Africa, and Papua New Guinea.
