MOUNT VERNON, Ohio — Mount Vernon Nazarene University’s theatre program presents Fall One Acts: “The Greek Mythology Olympiaganza” and “Miracles & Con Men,” during MVNU’s Homecoming, Nov. 10-12.

These two one acts will be shown back-to-back. “The Greek Mythology Olympiaganza” is a comedy written by Don Zolidis and directed by Junior Christian Ministry major Alex Pittman. “Miracles & Con Men” is an original musical, written and directed by Zachary Sherman (’14) with choreography by Michelle Taylor.

“It has been a privilege getting to work on two distinct shows this semester,” said Sherman, coordinator of Theatre. “Alex Pittman has done a tremendous job directing ‘The Greek Mythology Olympiaganza.’ It’s a show where the laughs keep coming as we attempt to sum up all of Greek mythology in only 40 minutes. As for ‘Miracles & Con Men,’ it has been an immense honor to work with these amazing students and choreographer Michelle Taylor. Their talent makes the show what it is. The musical is very dear to my heart. It tackles themes of repentance, atonement, and divine intervention in the best way I know how to approach such topics — through music and drama. I hope you enjoy it.”

Performances are Friday, Nov. 10, and Saturday, Nov. 11, at 7 p.m.; and Sunday, Nov. 12 at 2 p.m. All performances take place in the Thorne Performance Hall located inside the R.R. Hodges Chapel and Fine Arts Building at Mount Vernon Nazarene University, 800 Martinsburg Road.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for MVNU students and anyone under 18. Tickets for all performances may be purchased online at theatre.mvnu.edu or at the box office beginning one hour prior to show time. Seating opens approximately 30 minutes prior to show time. This production is suitable for all audiences.
