MOUNT VERNON, Ohio — Mount Vernon Nazarene University’s Arts, Lectures, and Programs Committee is proud to sponsor a special presentation on the United States Constitution on Monday, Sept. 18.
Professor Marti Lowe and the American Government and Politics class will recognize the importance of Constitution Day (Sept. 17) from 7:50-8:50 a.m., in Hyson Campus Center Room 302.
Guests will learn about the U.S. Constitution and your rights as an American citizen as presented by Knox County Common Pleas Court Judge Richard Wetzel.
A complimentary breakfast will be available.
“The Arts, Lectures, and Programs Committee is excited to support academic programming at MVNU. Constitution Day is a terrific opportunity to reflect and learn about the founding documents of our country and the importance of our rights,” said Jayme McMillan, Assistant Professor of Communication and Arts, Lectures, and Programs Committee Chair.
The Arts, Lectures, and Programs Committee offers a grant program to provide supplemental resources to departments, schools, and campus organizations to expose MVNU students to individuals who have expertise and life experiences that would not otherwise be available on campus. For more information, contact Jayme McMillan.
