MOUNT VERNON, Ohio (June 16, 2022) — Mount Vernon Nazarene University President Henry W. Spaulding II, Ph.D., is pleased to announce the appointment of Justin Nowicki as the new Vice President of Enrollment Management, effective June 1.
“In assessing the significant enrollment challenges facing higher education, it is essential to reorganize the Senior Leadership Team in order to increase attention on enrollment,” said MVNU President Dr. Henry W. Spaulding II. “Justin’s accomplishments as Associate Vice President of Enrollment Management, and his experience in admissions and financial aid, provide a set of skills and background that uniquely qualify him for the role of vice president and will be of great benefit to the Senior Leadership Team.””In assessing the significant enrollment challenges facing higher education, it is essential to reorganize the Senior Leadership Team in order to increase attention on enrollment,” said MVNU President Dr. Henry W. Spaulding II. “Justin’s accomplishments as Associate Vice President of Enrollment Management, and his experience in admissions and financial aid, provide a set of skills and background that uniquely qualify him for the role of vice president and will be of great benefit to the Senior Leadership Team.”
Nowicki transitioned from Director of Development to Associate Vice President of Enrollment Marketing in early 2021, returning to the roots of his career in higher education at MVNU. Ten years ago, he started as an admissions counselor and would go on to serve as an Assistant Director of Recruitment and Assistant Director of Student Financial Aid before taking on fundraising efforts.
The new vice president has a Bachelor of Arts (’11) and Master of Business Administration (’14) from MVNU.
“I can see how God has allowed me opportunities to shape a holistic view of MVNU with a particular focus on our external constituencies,” said Nowicki. “It is a blessing and an honor to continue serving MVNU in this new capacity. I know firsthand how MVNU, and its faculty and staff, can radically change the trajectory of a young person’s life. It did that for me and I am so thankful to be able to pay that forward.”
Nowicki has been leading MVNU’s enrollment team through a very competitive and challenging higher education enrollment environment. By evaluating current trends, remaining innovative, and making data-driven decisions, MVNU has adapted to the consistent curveballs.
“Justin’s intelligence, drive, and experience will continue to enhance MVNU’s capacity to reach enrollment goals,” said Spaulding.
Nowicki will report directly to Dr. Spaulding and continue to oversee Admissions and Student Financial Aid in addition to serving on SLT.
