Dual Enrollment
Application
Apply Now! Please use a current personal student email for your application (Note: school email addresses are often restricted).
Applications are accepted year-round! Applications for fall and spring terms must be submitted no later than one week before classes start. Once we receive all the needed materials, you will receive a decision within 72 hours.
School Counselor Items
Once we receive your application, we will reach out to your School Counselor for a copy of your current high school transcript and will ask them to complete a short form to help us understand your graduation needs. If you have not yet taken high school classes, you will need to submit an acceptable college readiness score or schedule to take one of our free placement tests to demonstrate your readiness for college work.
Homeschool Students: Since you do not have a School Counselor, your parent will need to supply a current transcript with GPA calculated for any high school work completed. You can choose from sample transcript templates HERE if you like.
Parent Items
Once we receive your application, we will reach out to your parent/guardian, requesting completion of 2 forms. The Parent/Guardian Certification gives them information about our program and its requirements and expectations. The Mature Content State Permission Slip is a form that is required by the State of Ohio.
Test Scores
While testing is not required for admission (unless needed for college readiness demonstration), some courses at MVNU require placement testing for enrollment.
We will accept test scores from official testing facilities or from your School Counselor. Please contact our Dual Enrollment staff at 740-399-8608 or DualEnrollment@mvnu.edu if you have questions about acceptable tests and/or scores.
Returning Students
Students who take at least one class during the school year (summer, fall, or spring terms) do not need to apply to MVNU again. You will receive an MVNU Personal Information Update Form in the spring asking you about your plans for the next year.
Homeschool and Private school students will receive a Letter of Good Standing in early February.
