Required Residency

All students enrolled in the International Executive Studies (IES) program are required to participate in scheduled residency sessions held on the Mount Vernon Nazarene University campus in Mount Vernon, Ohio. Residency is a mandatory academic component of the program and includes required face-to-face instructional coursework, faculty-led academic engagement, and supervised learning activities.
During each residency, students attend in-person class sessions, complete required academic instruction, participate in structured externship and professional engagement activities, and meet directly with faculty and university staff in support of their academic progress.
Residency participation is required for academic credit and is necessary to maintain active enrollment in the program. Physical attendance and participation in residency are required and are considered part of each student’s full-time academic enrollment.
These residency sessions are an essential part of the program’s hybrid instructional format, which combines required in-person academic instruction with limited online coursework in accordance with federal regulations governing F-1 student enrollment.
In addition to academic instruction, students may also meet with academic advisors, Designated School Officials (DSOs), and other university personnel to support their academic, professional, and immigration compliance needs.
We look forward to welcoming you to campus and supporting you throughout your academic journey.
