Online MaED Intervention Specialist (Advanced License)
Elevate your career in education by earning both a Master of Arts in Education and Ohio licensure as an Intervention Specialist for Mild/Moderate Disabilities. If you are sensitive and responsive to the needs of disabled children, Mount Vernon Nazarene University can cultivate the necessary knowledge and skills to make a positive impact on this unique population. If you already have your teaching license, but want to expand your skills and knowledge, this is the degree for you.
The online Intervention Specialist program (Advanced License) is specifically designed to meet the needs of teachers who have an interest in and commitment to serving students in grades K–12 with disabilities. This includes licensed Early Childhood Education, Middle Childhood Education, Adolescent Young Adult, or Multi-Age teachers who wish to enhance their credentials and educators serving students with disabilities on a temporary or alternative special education license who wish to gain credentials needed to improve their employment options.
The program results in a Master of Arts in Education degree and Ohio licensure as an Intervention Specialist for Mild/Moderate Disabilities. The program is offered entirely online, allowing working educators to complete their coursework in the comfort of their home. What’s more, the degree program can be completed in as little as 18 months.
While Mount Vernon Nazarene University’s Education Program is aligned to the licensure requirements in the state of Ohio, this license may not reciprocate in other states. To find out if the licensure earned at MVNU works in your state, click here!
