Established in 2004 by Leonard and Betty Boesger.

Norma & Paul Castleman Innovation Grant Endowment
Established in 2023 by Drs. Carson and Angela Castleman.
This endowment supports activities (e.g., project trips, collaboration meetings) related to developing and/or expanding service-learning opportunities for the Fairbanks Center for Global Engagement.
Class of 1983 Innovation Grant Endowment
Established in 2022 by the MVNU Class of 1983.

Communities of Northwestern Ohio Endowment for the MVNU Career Development Center
Established in 2025 by the Marcus and Mindy Duff Family in the spirit of Genesis 2:15 to honor the hard-working heritage of rural small-town Ohio.
This endowment provides general support of the MVNU Career Development Center, with priority given to student career exploration expenses, job fairs/conferences, and related capital improvement projects. Awards shall be made at the discretion of the Career Development Center leadership.
Lucille Estep Prayer Lecture Series Endowment
Established in 2008 by Morton Estep.
This endowment provides for a lecture series held during chapel services for the entire university community, featuring speakers who have a clear understanding of the power of prayer.
Fairbanks Center for Global Engagement Endowment
Established in 2023 by LeBron, Anne, and Stephen Fairbanks.
The endowment provides financial assistance to implement the mission, vision, and strategic projects for the Center for Global Engagement at Mount Vernon Nazarene University.
Ruth Gilley Memorial Library Acquisition Endowment
Established in 2001 through the estate of Ruth E Gilley.
This endowment provides funds for the purchase of library books, periodicals, audiovisuals, etc. (Funds may not be used for equipment or supplies.)
John Hyland and Paula Rider Hyland Family Endowment for Music
Established in 2024 by John and Paula Rider Hyland.
This endowment supports the music program at the University with first preference to sustaining annual performances of Handel’s Messiah and/or other classical sacred Christian oratorios. Second preference shall be for support of the strings program and ensembles. Third preference shall be for general support of the music department
Messiah Performance Endowment
Established in 2022 by friends of the Messiah.
This endowment provides funds to support the annual presentation of Handel's Messiah at Mount Vernon Nazarene University.
Judy Ingraham Music Endowment
Established in 2007 in memory of Judy Ingraham.
This endowment provides funds to support and extend the activities of the MVNU Music Department. Priority is given to: 1) Goliards Chamber Ensemble; 2) Vocal / A Cappella Group; 3) Music Department, general use. Scholarship awards are made by Music Department nomination.
Whitaker M2540 Initiatives Endowment
Established in 2011 by an anonymous donor.
This endowment funds: 1) Capital Projects (10% of earnings designated); 2) Faculty/Staff Travel (up to 2 stipends per person per year); 3) Special Initiatives (approved by Distribution Committee).
McCall Lecture Series Endowment
Established in 2019.
Dr. Charles McCall, Professor Emeritus of Religion, was a founding faculty member in the Department of Religion and Philosophy at Mount Vernon Nazarene College (now University). He devoted his life to the moral formation of students. Dr. McCall modeled the virtues associated with an intellectually engaged life devoted to the service of mind, body, and world. These lectures will bring individuals who have contributed to a deeper understanding of moral decision-making, character formation, public ethics, habituated behavior, and virtues to the Mount Vernon Nazarene University Campus. Expenditures from the lecture endowment shall consist of an honorarium and/or expenses for the lecturer. Reimbursements of expenses shall conform to current University travel policy.
Whitaker Nease Institute Endowment
Established in 2012 by an anonymous donor.
This endowment funds: 1) Operational Support; 2) Program Development; 3) Faculty and Student Stipends; 4) Student Scholarships and Awards. The Distribution Committee includes: MVNU President, MVNU Provost, and Nease Institute Director.
Jim & Kathy Radcliffe Honors Program Fund Endowment
Established in 2021 by anonymous donors.
This endowment funds programs, initiatives, and/or operational needs of the MVNU Honors Program at the discretion of the Director of the Program.
Bill and Debbie Thorne Innovation Grant Endowment

This endowment supports activities (e.g., project trips, resources, collaboration meetings) related to developing and/or expanding service-learning opportunities through the Fairbanks Center for Global Engagement.
Vazquez Family Collaboratory Endowment
Established in 2024 by Juan and Ines Vazquez.
The Vazquez Family Collaboratory Endowment supports the key operations of the collaboratory, including staffing for projects, grants to cover direct costs for project initiatives, collaboratory course development, and costs related to exploring potential projects and establishing new partnerships with external partners. The funds are to be managed and approved by the director of the Fairbanks Center for Global Engagement.
