Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Graphic Design
Visual imagery and communication heavily influence the modern world. MVNU Graphic Design students are equipped to communicate clearly and to enrich the daily lives of consumers with effective designs, influencing culture and society in important, positive, and constructive ways.
MVNU’s Graphic Design program has two tracks students can choose from — the visual arts track or the media and marketing track. Students go through a rigorous program focusing on an in-depth understanding of the creative process. A high level of craftsmanship is emphasized.
Senior Graphic Design students present their portfolios in a Senior Design Portfolio show at MVNU’s professional Schnormeier Gallery, showcasing a wide variety of well-crafted and effective projects to the public.
Graphic Design Curriculum
As an MVNU Graphic Design student, you will go through the same rigorous training that you would at any school offering a graphic design major, while simultaneously gaining a Christian liberal arts education. You will develop your problem solving, critical thinking and creative skills making you ready to hit the ground running after graduation!
Faith & learning at MVNU

Travel
Earn course credit as you take in the spiritual and historical wonders of Italy during spring break. Experience the culture of Italy through its art, architecture, food, fashion, and Christian influence. Explore historical sites such as the Colosseum and other ancient ruins while in Rome. See the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican. While in Venice float through the canals on a gondola. Journey to the Amalfi coast and its glorious cliffside vista. Experience the history of Pompeii once covered by the ashes of Vesuvius. Visit cathedrals that attest to our Christian heritage through their artistic masterpieces. Join us for this spectacular experience and meet your art history or general education core crossing cultures requirements.

Graphic Design Careers
Odds are, you’ll be working in your field within a year of graduation. About half of MVNU’s Graphic Design students are offered jobs before graduation. In fact, we often have graduates tell us that their employers were surprised and impressed with the quality of their portfolios — many have secured jobs because their portfolios reflected excellence.
