The MSM with an Engineering Management concentration develops leaders capable of managing complex projects, systems, and teams in technology-driven organizations. This innovative program combines business fundamentals with specialized knowledge in engineering, analytics, and strategic decision-making.

The Engineering Management concentration prepares students to:

Books and Outside Resources

Textbooks will be embedded throughout most courses at no additional charge. However, some courses may require an outside book or resource that students will need to buy separately. A link to the university's book program will be provided to students when necessary.

Concentration courses will include:

Project Management for Engineers

Covers engineering project planning, team leadership, performance monitoring, and project control.

Engineering Decision Framing and Analytics

Provides tools and techniques for data-driven decision making under uncertainty and complexity.

Contracts and Negotiations for Engineering Management

Examines contract terms, clauses, and negotiation strategies relevant for engineers and engineering managers.

The remaining 12 credit hours are taken in the student’s chosen concentration - Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering Management, Healthcare Informatics, or Information Technology Management.
