Program Highlights

Interdisciplinary Approach:

To earn your Bachelor of Arts in Integrated Studies, you will need:

  • A minimum of 44 credit hours in primary and secondary content areas.
  • Completion of the ITD-4032 Integrated Studies Capstone course.
  • At least 120 total credit hours, including MVNU general education requirements and electives.
  • 17 upper division credits within the major and 30 upper division credits within the entire degree.

Capstone Experience:

The ITD-4032 Integrated Studies Capstone course helps you synthesize your learning and demonstrate your readiness for future career or academic pursuits.

Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) Overview

MVNU's PLA policy allows you to earn credit for college-level learning gained outside the traditional classroom. Submissions for prior learning credit must include supporting documentation such as transcripts, licenses, certificates, course syllabi, letters from supervisors, or company training histories. MVNU accepts a variety of credit types, including ACE-approved courses and military Joint Service Transcripts.

  • Students can apply a maximum of 60 undergraduate credit hours from prior learning credits toward their degree.
  • MVNU accepts up to 30 credit hours from CLEP and DSST exams and up to 40 credit hours from other PLC types.
