Bachelor of Science (BS) in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (Communication Sciences and Disorders)
A pre-professional degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (Communication Sciences and Disorders) that prepares students to pursue graduate degrees in speech-language pathology or audiology. The MVNU Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) program provides students with a unique perspective that combines Christian values with healthcare knowledge related to speech, language, and hearing.
MVNU is the only Council for Christian Colleges and Universities member in Ohio with its own speech and hearing clinic. This allows our students to get hands-on experience at the undergraduate level and are thus better prepared to work with clients in graduate school.
This degree is the first step for students wishing to pursue graduate education and enter the fields of speech-language pathology or audiology. According to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of speech-language pathologists is projected to grow 27 percent from 2018-2028. Audiology is projected to grow 16 percent from 2018-2028.

There is a critical shortage of audiologists in the state of Ohio and the surrounding regions. Both of these occupations allow you to work directly with clients of any age group, from newborns to the elderly.
Because a master’s degree is required to become a speech-language pathologist, and a Doctoral degree is required to become an audiologist, MVNU’s pre-professional undergraduate Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (CSD) program is aimed at thoroughly preparing students for admission to a graduate program.
