Life at MVNU
Connect
At MVNU, small groups are an essential part of building authentic community and growing in faith together. These gatherings offer students a safe space to connect more deeply with one another, share life experiences, and encourage each other in their walk with Christ. Led by peers, staff, or faculty, small groups create meaningful opportunities for prayer, Scripture study, and spiritual accountability. Whether you're looking for deeper relationships, a place to ask tough questions, or simply a time to pause and reflect, MVNU’s small groups are designed to help you feel known, supported, and spiritually rooted.
Belong Groups
At MVNU, all Freshmen and First-Time on Campus Transfers are part of a residentially based small group designed to help you build community and grow spiritually from the very beginning of your journey. These small groups are a great way to connect with those living around you, engage in meaningful conversations, and support one another as you adjust to campus life. If you're unsure when or where your small group meets, just ask your Spiritual Mentor — they’re here to help you get connected.
Life Groups
Upperclassmen and non-first-year transfer students at MVNU have the opportunity to participate in elective small groups focused on one of three key areas: relationships, vocation, and the Christian life. These Life Groups are led by faculty, staff, or students, creating a collaborative environment for meaningful conversation and spiritual growth. Leaders get resource approval from the Spiritual Life Office to guide the group’s discussions. Life Groups are a valuable way to explore faith in deeper ways while building community across campus.
“I love that people at MVNU are excited to love one another and they voice it frequently.”
Luke Faircloth, '27
