Schnormeier Gallery
Schnormeier Gallery, located on the first floor of MVNU’s Buchwald Center, features two large, open spaces that are fully equipped with adjustable spotlighting and plenty of room for gallery shows and installations. Senior Art and Graphic Design students use this professional-level space for their senior shows. The Schnormeier Gallery frequently exhibits the work of local, national and international artists.

What is the 'From This Place' exhibition about?
The 'From This Place' exhibition celebrates the 250th anniversary of the United States of America, presenting works by Knox County artists reflecting on memory, community, and hope. This exhibition, featuring painting, sculpture, photography, and other media, invites viewers to consider America's ongoing story and connection to it. Works are by Richard Cowdrey, Sarah Gabric, Kathleen Goode, Craig Hill, Kim and Pam Rose, Brian Baby, Sara Keith, Barry Gunderson, Claudia Esslinger, John Donnelly, Bridget Fox, Kyle Keith, Laura Tabbut, Justin Sorensen, and Raeschell Noonen. SHOW DATES: July 3 to Nov. 14, 2026. SPECIAL EVENTS include First Fridays (July 3, Aug. 7, Sept. 4, 6-9 p.m.) and the Mount Vernon Music and Arts Festival (August 14-16).
